Honda Accord

There’s been a lot of talk about the Honda Accord for 2007. As a leading car in the sedan market the Accord (and in this case specically the Hybrid version) has maintained a high standard. The 4-door Accord is especially appealing to broad audience, making it a perfect car to help Honda as a brand in general.

Standard equipment in the Accord for 2006 and 2007 includes the 3.0 liter engine by Honda, weighing in at 6 cylinders and twenty four valves. A 5-speed Automatic Transaxle puts the power of the i-VTEC engine to the pavement. The has proven to be a popular configuration for the Accord.

The fuel system for the 2007 Accord is a traditional PGM-FI, running on ELECTRIC/GAS fuel. The fuel is controlled by an electronic system and is a fuel-injected MFI design. The capacity of the fuel tank is 17.10 gallons.

Steering control is handled through a power-steering rack-style configuration. The Accord comes equipped with power-assisted brakes, with 4-Wheel ABS support. The front brakes are disc while the rear brakes are disc. The car uses coil front springs and coil in the rear.

The dimensions of the Accord Hybrid are 71.60 inches wide by 191.10 inches long. It sits 57.30 inches off the ground. It seats a standard five passengers, with 4 doors. The wheelbase of 107.90 allows for extra leg room for the rear passengers.

The Honda Accord lists at $23,350 when new. The dealer cost on the car was $21,043.

The 2007 Accord gets 29 miles/gallon on the highway and only 20 in the city. This is below average for a sedan car.

In 2007 the Accord Hybrid was availble in the exterior colors of Alabaster Silver Metallic, Cool Blue Metallic, Graphite Pearl, Moroccan Red Pearl, Nighthawk Black Pearl, Royal Blue Pearl, and Taffeta White. Additional options were available as special orders from the factory.

There is a 36,000 mile, 36 month warranty with this vehicle, including a powertrain warranty of 60,000/60 miles/months. This is normal for this price range.

The 2007 model year was very successful for the Honda Accord. The introduction of several trim levels (along with the Hybrid version) meant that buyers could find the version that best suited their needs.
